Laminar Flow Hood

The laminar flow hood, also known as a clean bench, provides a working environment with low levels of airborne contamination.

Our laminar flow hoods deliver consistently clean air, free of dust and contaminants, to protect your experiments. New smart air sensing technology monitors and provides live feedback on air quality, using pressure, temperature, and particle count data.

Ideal for a range of applications in which the sterility, integrity, and purity of your samples and workspace are critical. We have created a versatile and interchangeable clean air system that can be adapted to your research needs on any lab bench. And if you need support, our laminar flow hood resources are available to provide troubleshooting tips, application guidance, and maintenance advice.

Are Ossila Laminar Flow Hoods Sterile?

We tested the sterility of our horizontal laminar flow hoods. Our results show the workspace within the hood has significantly less contamination than the external lab environment. Working within an Ossila laminar flow hood provides:

  • A sterile workspace for up to 24 hours using both laminar air flow and UV sterilization.
  • A reduced contamination rate, compared to a regular lab when working with sensitive samples.
  • A cleaner worksurface, after sufficient disinfecting and UV lamp exposure, than a normal lab bench.
